High-end BD SORP flow cytometer with 4 lasers and 18 measureable parameters (2 light-scatter signals and 16 fluorescent signals).
Available laser lines: 405 nm (violet), 488 nm (blue), 561 nm (yellow/green) and 640 nm (red). The filter setup allows detection of most standard fluorochromes (see optical configuration for details). The cytometer can handle analysis rates of up to 40,000 events/sec.
A High Throughput Sampler (HTS) for 96-well plates can be used for efficient high-throughput screening approaches but requires an additional introduction before usage.
Important: Please filter all your samples prior to measurement ( ⇒ Falcon #352235) and perform all washing steps described in the SOP to avoid clogging of the system.
Samples can only be loaded in 5 ml FACS tubes made of polystyrene (clear plastic e.g. FAL352058), polypropylene tubes (milky plastic like e.g. falcons or Eppis) will not pressurize. Minimum sample volume is 200 ul.
If you have sample volumes < 200 ul you can place an additional micronic tube in the 5 ml tube (e.g. Vitaris, Product no.: 32022-MIC).
The instrument is located in Schlieren, Wagistrasse 12, in room WAD-K-126.
